Im really not exagerrating the difference. Changed game from looking good to stunning with a 10 minute tweak. you absolutely need low brightness but high colour and contrast, well not hugely, but relative to default settings. The way the textures and lighting is done in Halo 3 means it can look shit if its washed out and pale, especially with the really subtle HDR on stuff like sand and metal. I got my HDTV back today and jesus, you have to really tweak this game. If you have the LE run the TV calibrator first. I think Ill mention this here aswell as the main Halo 3 thread:
